DIY mini series: Make your own dollhouse miniature food

By Angeli

I am obsessed with miniatures, but I never really owned a dollhouse until my baby daughter became a toddler. Now we are obsessed with tiny critters called Sylvanian Families – little anthropomorphic flocked animals with the cutest houses, shops, and accessories. ¬†They’re also called Calico Critters in other countries. We only have a few of them because they’re very expensive. So being the crafty Mommy that I am, I whipped out my clay and tried to create a few things our little critters might enjoy.

Then I thought, why not do a DIY mini-series (pun intended) on the blog this week? I’m sure there are other mommas out there wanting to go the DIY route. Let’s start with dollhouse miniature food!

I wish you’ll post a DIY of the chocolate bar… I want to make a keychain of it but failed. I originally wanted to make a kitkat bar… :(

Oh my lord! My daughter LOVES sylvanian families! I never would have thought of making my own food to go with her little sets – such a great idea, as they’re really quite expensive, and so easily lost! checking the out nooow! xxx

I used to be OBSESSED with making miniatures… from early middle school through early high school. I remember making “pies” for my doll house out of metal bottle-caps and “cotton candy” from painting q-tips.
My daughter was never into that though… too bad!
